| Posted: 09 Mar 2009 03:07 AM PDT In an ever-so-slightly heart warming tale of unity under the hardship of a recession, Spanish label Esperanza have apparently had their bacon saved thanks to the charitable concept behind their latest compilation. After the recent collapse of their German distribution company Neuton, the imprint was facing financial ruin and possible closure. However in a move not too dissimilar to the good old-fashioned 'church roof appeal', the label turned to their artists, asking them to produce tracks for a compilation in an attempt to keep the financial 'wolves from the door', the result of which was the 'H.E.L.P. Esperanza' compilation. |
