Whether or not you're on board with the breakneck indie/dance fusion that has gripped clubland in recent years, you will no doubt have been drowned, at some point, in a sea of Boys Noize. The Stakes EP is in no way a departure from the sound Dinamoe has been resolutely pushing for the last couple of years, rather a variation on the theme that brings enough new ideas to the fore in order to maintain his forward momentum.

Does Manhattan need a dedicated club district?

Posted: 10 Feb 2009 07:41 AM CST

Club owners behind some of Manhattan's biggest clubs and lounges have teamed up to present the idea of creating a dedicated nightlife district in Manhattan, much like New Orleans' Bourbon Street area. Popof has a softer side, apparently

Posted: 09 Feb 2009 06:37 PM CST

French hard man Popof has become synonymous with driving electro-tinged techno, so Beatportal was rather shocked to hear his forthcoming single 'Serenity' today, which sounds like a cross between a soft James Holden and a floppy Gui Boratto (that's a good thing).
