Like the music of fellow Istanbul producer Onur Ozer, Sisman's music speaks much of interconnectivity, the clash between modernity and tradition, and the bridge between East and West. And like Onur Ozer and many other producers from parts of the world not known for their contribution to electronic music, technology has given Ahmet Sisman the opportunity to carry the musical legacy of his country forwards in a post-modern way that can be felt by all who dance to it. | WMC bomb here: Alex Seda ‘Ricochet’ Posted: 21 Apr 2009 05:23 PM PDT One of the big house records to emerge at Miami's WMC last month was Alex Seda 'Ricochet', a Nervous Records house cut with a simple and memorable vocal. I love it! 'Ricochet' is the kind of pumping Miami house sound that DJs like Oscar G and Tom Stephan play, and that makes some sense considering Alex Seda is a Miami-based DJ and producer himself. 'Ricochet' lived up to its name as I heard it destroy a number of house music parties at WMC. |
