Has Felix Da Housecat found his club mojo?

Posted: 15 Apr 2009 03:15 PM PDT

Felix Da Housecat went in a new direction with his last album 'Virgo Blaktro & The Movie Disco', which combined soulful indie dance with wobbly disco grooves and electro moods. It was an audacious longplayer by the Chicago house man that complimented his fun and idiosyncratic nature, but it didn't really speak to DJs or the dancefloor. The first single from Felix Da Housecat's new album 'He Was King' however, hints at a newly revitalized club cat who has tossed the rollerskates away, ready to proudly prowl dancefloors once again. 'Kickdrum' is the kind of high quality club cream we love the cat for.
