| Posted: 19 Mar 2009 07:50 AM PDT Every now and again when digging through the plethora of tracks in existence, you stumble across one of those undiscovered gems, a masterpiece that often slips through the cracks. 'Young Heartache' is certainly one of those tracks. After a shady tip off from a certain Dutch dubstep producer, I investigated further into this new up and coming London-based producer and acquired the track ‘Young Heartache’, an LA-styled, electronic hip-hop styled, psychedelic offering. |
| Claude VonStroke mixes Fabric 46 Posted: 19 Mar 2009 04:01 AM PDT Dirtybird and Mothership boss Claude VonStroke has been announced as the next DJ to provide a mix for the Fabric series. The San Fran based producer (real name Barclay Crenshaw) follows installments from Omar S and John Tejada with a 22 track blend of warped house and off-kilter techno. Perhaps most famed for his 2006 breakthrough trio 'Deep Throat', 'The Whistler' and 'Who's Afraid Of Detroit', VonStroke has put in a solid few years of service to become one of the most recognizable names in the business. |
| Bomb Alert! Wolfgang Gartner & Francis Preve ‘Yin’ Posted: 19 Mar 2009 03:02 AM PDT Bomb Alert! It might seem self-serving to scream about a new track from one of our contributors but in the case of 'Yin', a forthcoming collaborative electro-tech cut from Beatportal's technology guru Francis Preve and electro maestro Wolfgang Gartner, the music more than speaks for itself. With its big room FX, chunky house beats, atmospheric techno twinkles and gut-gripping electro groove, it's destined to be a mainroom crowd pleaser in the coming weeks. Oh, and did we mention, Britain's Mark Knight has given it his stamp of approval by signing it to Toolroom? Yep, this one looks likely to head into the Beatport Top 10. Hear a preview after the jump. |

Having spun a few too many Skull Disco records in his time, Maxximus, aka Frederic Stader has adopted a different direction with his sound, adding some maliciously produced percussive beats with chest rattling bass rhythms. |
