RA launches WMC microsite

Our pals over at RA have launched a dedicated Miami WMC microsite to service the upcoming festivities. Included within the site is a comprehensive listings guide, news surrounding the event and links to related threads in the busy RA forums. The annual conference will officially run this year between 24th and 28th March.

Disparate imprints have housed his ever-green grooves across the course of his fruitful journey; Philpot, Kompakt, Spectral Sound and of course Wagon Repair have all offered him a room at the inn at one point or another. The fact is, the The Mole's output seems to fit glove-like wherever it resides; none more so perhaps than Internasjonal, the sparkling release arm of Mr. Prins Thomas.

Gui Boratto’s North America Tour dates

Video: Simian Mobile Disco ‘Synthesise’

Here's the video for 'Synthesise' by Simian Mobile Disco, directed by Kate Moross and Alex Sushon. The single, which features 1970s crooner Todd Rundgren on vocals, is from the British band's forthcoming sophomore album set for release in the coming months.

Dirt Crew do digital

German imprint Dirt Crew have launched a series a of digital-only releases, kicking-off with 'Audio On Loan' from up-and-coming Australian producer Mic Newman. The single will be followed by a monthly installments, with upcoming releases featuring tracks and remixes from Alfa Romero, Steffen Nehrig, Worthy, Sasse and Dirt Crew. Having made appearances on 8 Bit, Great Stuff and Get Physical Music, Mic Newman's profile looks set to further rise during 2009, and this release does him no harm at all. King Britt and Rich Medina named Creative Ambassadors of Philadelphia

Last week, The Philadelphia Tourism Bureau named city residents King Britt and Rich Medina 'Creative Ambassadors of the City'. The electronic music producers were included on a list of famous musicians and artists whom the city recognized as important contributors to Philadelphia's creative heritage.

In the studio with Blame

Blame, head honcho of 720 Degrees Music and all-round drum & bass bigwig, has been banging out records for over twenty years. All that time in the studio seems to have finally paid off for Conrad Shafie, aka Blame, as the good old BBC are plugging his new track 'Because Of You' on daytime radio, which in today’s modern manufactured music climate, is an absolute rarity. With over two decades of production experience, from producing old skool bangers such as ‘Music Takes You’ on Moving Shadow through to 'Stay Forever', his massive hit on Charge last year, Blame has served his time behind the desk. Having progressed from making piano-led rave tunes to radio-friendly liquid and vocal d&b anthems, we caught up with Blame in his studio to find out how he makes his tunes.
