| Mark Knight reveals Pacha NYC residency Posted: 06 Feb 2009 03:01 PM CST British DJ and producer Mark Knight today announced the launch of a new Toolroom Knights residency at Pacha nightclub in New York, with the launch party penned for Friday 27th February. Every two months the boss of Toolroom will take over the venue on west 46th Street for seven hours, and deliver a lengthy journey into sound, a style that he has perfected whilst DJing for the last four years at Ministry of Sound in London. |
| Tiësto listeners to compile 100th podcast Posted: 06 Feb 2009 12:28 PM CST Beatportal heard from Dutch trance king DJ Tiesto this morning that he wants his fans to compile the music for the 100th edition of his podcast 'Tiësto's Club Life', which sees nearly 300,000 downloads each week. Tiësto's show first aired on April 6th, 2007 on Radio 538, a national radio station in The Netherlands, but quickly grew to become a worldwide podcast and syndicated radio show. It will see its 100th outing on February 27th 2009. |

Whether or not Charles Darwin would have made comparisons between the growing patterns of nu-disco and the evolution of mankind is a separate question entirely, yet I’m sure, given the chance, he would have given it half a mention in 'The Origin of Species' had he heard this blissful prog-disco record on ‘Throne of Blood’. |
