Minilogue’s ‘Animals’ come to life on DVD

Swedish duo Minilogue [a] are known for their wide-ranging explorations into deep ambient soundscapes and peaktime minimal techno, and they've always had a penchant for cute imagery. But rather than just use their bespoke artwork to compliment last year's 'Animals' LP, they've decided to go much further. February will see the release of 'Animals - The Movie', a full length mix DVD that has Minilogue's animals dancing to the pair's LP (check the above video for a sneak peak). Minilogue have always done a good job of incorporating visuals and nice designs into their work, and now comes a full length video mix DVD called 'Animals - The Movie' (check the clip above for a sneak peak).

Garuna EP - Gorge

Functional. Hardly a glowing adjective to begin a music recommendation with but this would be the most accurate term with which to describe 8Bit [a] [l] boss Gorge's latest musical offering. Confusingly ditching his Reclick [a] moniker he usually dons for the label, Gorge [a] issues a double dose of 'floor-focused fodder; one of which works wonderfully, and one that well, sort of does.

On this week's episode Pete Tong TV for 2009, Pete features the new video for ''Everytime We Touch' from David Guetta [a] and Chris Willis [a] with Steve Angello [a] and Sebastian Ingrosso [a]. Pete shares the Mickey Moonlight [a] remix of 'Ulysses' from Franz Ferdinand [a] (ring a bell?), and this week's show also highlights the track 'Everybody' from Rudenko [a] due out next month.
