Deadmau5 fan recreates ‘Ghosts N Stuff’

Toronto electro house star Deadmau5 has one of the most committed fanbases in electronic music currently, with his melodic electro and progressive house sound constantly debated and dissected on forums. A few aspiring producers out there are desperate to emulate Deadmau5' sound, but one has gone further than most to copy it. In this video, Belgian producer Timofey shows how he managed to recreate Deadmau5' recent hit 'Ghosts N Stuff' perfectly in Ableton Live 7.

Synths dominate BBC Sound of 2009 list

The BBC has announced its annual list of the artists it predicts will be making waves during 2009. Although incorporating acts from across the musical board, the list picks up on a trend first mentioned a few weeks back in UK broadsheet The Guardian regarding the rise of the female electro pop star. The paper prophesied that the waves of white male guitar bands that have dominated the charts in recent years were set to be replaced by a fresh influx of laptop-wielding female stars, predominately in their early 20s.
