| Posted: 10 Dec 2008 09:00 AM CST The kitsch, pop sensibilities of Belgium DJ duo Aeroplane perfectly summed up the sunnier breeze that blew threw electronic music during 2008. Aeroplane are our top nu disco artists of 2008. Since their 2007 launchpad single 'Aeroplane/Caramellas', Stephen Fasano and Vito Deluca have deservedly become the name to drop in the 'nu disco' scene, commanding a level of interest on a par with contemporaries Lindström and Prins Thomas. "2008 was a lot of work for us," they explained. "We did 10, or maybe 11 remixes." As mentioned, the boys amassed an impressive catalogue of re-rubs during 2008, that at a glance, included such luminaries as MGMT, Lindström, Cut Copy, Bloc Party and Grace Jones. |
