Clearly, Mark Of The Unicorn were saddened also. So much so that they've just unleashed a killer offer on their competing MachFive softsampler. | Posted: 10 Nov 2008 03:16 AM CST Continuing on our quest to steal the records of the world's best DJs, this week's Weekend Weapons feature comes from UK DJ sensation Mark Knight, boss of Toolroom. Mark scored himself a bit of a worldwide smash during the summer with his tasteful update of Laurent Garnier's 'Man With The Red Face', and his Toolroom label has rocketed through the year by releasing in addition to the aforementioned Garnier remix, four more Toolroom Knights releases as well as the odd club-friendly banger. This past weekend Mark played at the Ministry of Sound Sessions party at Carling Academy in Oxford and then (gasp) took a well-earned night off on Saturday. Here's his big three. |

While to some this Haze-ified rework will sound somewhat on the twee side, those with a weakness for pretty, plaintive melodies will be overjoyed to see that this is finally available on Beatport. |

Often though, this aspect of electronic music culture is forgotten in the waves of dismissal that authorities generally throw at youth culture movements. Not in Germany however, where a group of DJs are actually using dance music to combat racism. |

Now they've moved on up in the world to venues such as Fabric and The End. Those boys have sure grown up. We felt it was time once again to pull back the duvet of London's underground disco scene and climb into bed with a disco crew who aren't plying their trade at London’s mega clubs, but rather throwing parties in small quirky venues across the city.
