Posted: 31 Oct 2008 08:30 PM CDT Audion's 'Billy Says Go' remix contest saw 537 aspiring producers put their skills to work and submit their best remix, and we sent the top five remixes as voted for by the public and another five chosen by Beatport genre managers to Spectral Sound and Matthew Dear. Of these ten, a winner and two runners-up have been chosen. Spectral have not yet decided whether they will release any of the winners but they are considering all three, and will make a decision within the next few weeks Drum roll, please... |

| Carl Craig to close Bloc Weekend 2009 Posted: 31 Oct 2008 05:09 PM CDT Annual three-day underground party Bloc Weekend has announced their Sunday night headliner as Detroit techno king, Carl Craig. In an already stellar line-up, Afrika Bambaataa and Jamie Lidell will also be headlining, and appearances from Mr. Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Mad Professor and Hopeton 'Scientist' Brown are due to be had. Additionally, the Future Sound of London will grace the stage for their first live show in ten years, and names like Kode 9, Redshape, 2562, Peverelist, are all confirmed and on the bill. Held at Butlins Holiday Camp, in Minehead, Somerset, this year's festival features over 60+ live acts and fully equipped facilities that very picturesquely overlook a beach. Consistently producing records with heavy, driving beats, ‘Dome’ is released by Dutch producer Re-Ward under his W&W alias, and it has as much impact as you’d expect from a W&W track. |
