With clubbers, hippies and artistic types lining the protest route in Ibiza yesterday, the demonstration had an impromptu, creative spirit. At every major junction, the protesters would sit on the street clapping and shouting, with the energy building, before all of them jumped in the air in unity. It was very dance music, and very DC10.

Months later we are reporting back to you, in case you haven’t managed to check it out yet. 'Sexuality' is absolutely a must-hear album with tracks ranging from R’n’B influenced tunes, to hip-hop flavoured slow jams, through disco, and even a Beach Boys-inspired single. The album was the result of having locked himself away into a Parisian recording studio with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (one half of Daft Punk) behind the controls.

News | Ibiza clubbers protest on the street

Last night at about 7.30pm the roads came to a standstill in the centre of Ibiza, Spain but not because of the usual high volume of August tourist traffic. It was the 400 or so protesters sitting in the middle of Vara de Rey street in Ibiza Town that caused the tail back. "Libertad! Libertad! Libertad!" they shouted, which is Spanish for 'freedom'. But why do people in Ibiza feel their freedom is being taken away from them?
