News | Green Velvet teaches a history lesson in Brooklyn

Green Velvet is renowned amongst most electronic music fans because of his hit track, ‘La La Land’ from his 2001 album “Whatever” on Relief Records. But prior to that release, Green Velvet had already released several albums and important tracks that are now also recognizable to many Chicago house music fans. At Studio B he played his celebrated tracks ‘Percolator’, and 'Flash', in addition to his newer hits like Shake and Pop (which has been fabulously remixed by Mark Grant, DJ Sneak, Gantman, and Green Velvet).

News | Ibiza 2008: Quentin Harris audio interview

New York-based DJ and producer Quentin Harris is one of the hottest names in house music currently - his tracks have appeared on Hed Kandi, Kinky Malinki, Club Shelter and Soul Heaven compilations. His recent deep house remix of Mr. V's 'Jus Dance' is blowing up too. Last night Quentin Harris was playing in the main room of Pacha for Defected In The House so after his set I grabbed him for an in-depth audio interview. In the interview Quentin reveals his thoughts behind the role of the DJ, his studio style and a new project he's working on with Ultra Naté. Check it out after the jump!
