Oliver Huntemann on his Dubfire collaboration ‘Dios’ Posted: 11 Nov 2008 03:47 PM CST After grilling Dubfire last week about his new collaborative track 'Dios', we now turn our attentions to Oliver Huntemann whose brand new label Ideal is housing this meeting of musical minds. 'Dios' is the first track to be released through the label, which gave us a good starting point for our chat with 15-year veteran Huntemann; a producer who has remixed Depeche Mode, Underworld and The Chemical Brothers as well as released genuinely unique productions. We asked Oliver for his take on the scene at the close of '08, his working relationship with Dubfire and the fears behind starting a label during a recession.

Rabimmel With A Vengeance - DJ Koze, Ada, Dee Pulse, Basteroid Posted: 11 Nov 2008 11:08 AM CST As was the case last year, Hamburg's DJ Koze has had a quietly assured 2008. Choosing to throw himself further into the leftfield via remixes for Noze, Matias Aguayo and most notably Sascha Funke, it was only on his delectable 'Let's Love/I Want To Sleep' double-header that the producer found himself in a space somewhere near to the 'normality' of a club track.
Posted: 11 Nov 2008 10:23 AM CST Bassline grooves don't get more infectious than the warbling funky low end on the Love The Bassline remix of Mindprint 'Hand Of God'. With its old skool house loops, rough filter FX, driving beats and perfect bassline, 'Hand Of God' is a house track I can't live without.

Posted: 10 Nov 2008 05:47 PM CST Richie Hawtin and his M_nus cohorts have been scheduled in for what appears to be their final fling at central London venue The End. With the club set to close for good on January 24th the chances of the M_nus crew appearing again look slim. Saturday December 27th will provide the rave-based respite for those sick of the Christmas niceties.
