| German techno DJs take on racism Posted: 08 Nov 2008 01:10 PM CST Electronic music has always had a unifying quality to it, and the inclusiveness of its parties can be argued to be socially beneficial with regards to building tolerance. Often though, this aspect of electronic music culture is forgotten in the waves of dismissal that authorities generally throw at youth culture movements. Not in Germany however, where a group of DJs are actually using dance music to combat racism. |
