| Posted: 30 Oct 2008 01:50 PM CDT Armin van Buuren has been named as the world's number one DJ in the annual DJ Mag Top 100 awards. The list, which was officially unveiled last night at Ministry of Sound in London, (having been available in certain corners of cyberspace since the beginning of this week) threw up little surprises in terms of personnel with the usual suspects of Tiësto and Paul van Dyk taking the second and third spots respectively. As you can see from the list below (after the jump), the chart is a bastion of trance, with the top 10 in particular featuring Above & Beyond (#4), Ferry Corsten (#6) and Markus Schulz (#8). |

| Viva Tour: A weird night in Albuquerque, New Mexico Posted: 29 Oct 2008 10:15 PM CDT Imagine walking down the street of a small city in the middle of America on a Tuesday night. You see a shitty looking bar called the Moonlight Lounge with black plastic bags over the windows and a few teenagers wearing baseball caps smoking outside. Across the quiet, yellow windswept street you hear the faintest sounds of music, a deep thumping bass and an occasional hi hat that blows over the wind. ‘Hell, might as well have a beer there,’ you think. Seems as good a place as any. |
