| MacBook Firewire controversy rages on Posted: 21 Oct 2008 08:00 PM CDT Both the print and web media are turning up the heat on Apple, thanks to Steve Jobs’ recent decision to eliminate Apple’s own Firewire technology from all notebooks, save for their high-end MacBook Pros. As we noted last week, the creative communities that Apple purportedly supports are up in arms over the decision to jettison Firewire. In the decade or so since its arrival, the IEEE 1394 standard has become an integral part of the production process for many, perhaps most digital artists. |

The concept is simple enough - come down to one of his gigs in the next couple of weeks and hand him your demos on a CD or USB stick. Pete will then listen to every single demo submitted to him, and he'll release the best ones on a brand new digital label on Beatport after his tour. Where is Pete Tong playing tonight? We asked Joel to share his knowledge and tips on the art of warming up just for Beatportal users, a skill set that he has learnt through almost 15 years of experience. Here are his pointers, spoken in the same accent as Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid. |

| Posted: 21 Oct 2008 12:39 AM CDT Stanton Warrior’s massive tune ‘Still Here’ has been through many reprisals, and this is by far the most energetic one.
