Joints From The Lab - MidiDropMusic Posted: 07 Oct 2008 07:41 PM CDT I was interviewing Misstress Barbara back in 2001 and after a half-hour of impassioned debate she got me to admit that DJ Rolando’s 'Jaguar' could, in some way, be considered trance. I was used to hearing Francois K work the hell out of it at Sunday house party Body & Soul, so this wasn’t an easy thing to consider. Read this music recommendation on Beatportal

Pendulum loses drum and bass heads, gains US and rock fans Posted: 07 Oct 2008 12:43 AM CDT Perth-based drum & bass band Pendulum may have lost some love from hardcore drum & bass heads with their recent mainstream success, but they've won over a whole new legion of fans from the rock side of things. Kerrang! magazine no less, are the latest rock magazine to support the Ear Storm/Atlantic Records group by nominating Pendulum's 'Propane Nightmares' as Best Single in the upcoming Kerrang! Awards. It's not hard to understand why head bangers can get into Pendulum's fast and furious guitar-laced beats as it is aggressive and in-your-face music.
Ibiza’s DC10 to be shut for one year, possibly forever Posted: 06 Oct 2008 10:12 PM CDT DC10 club in Ibiza has been fighting an uphill battle with the island's authorities for the whole season, but last week the club's future seemed bleak after a council meeting in Sant Josep slapped the owners with a €300,000 fine and a one year closure. The problem is, the authorities have found DC10's ultimate weak point (we can't believe it took them 10 years to find it) - it only has a legal capacity of 65, which means the club has absolutely no chance of survival, unless they can somehow secure a license. In the murky, disco-mafia-tinted world of Ibiza's legal system that will be practically impossible.
