News | Kaskade to drop ‘The Om Remixes’

From the cutting room floor we find the master of the sexy groove, Kaskade, unearthing some previously unreleased and out-of-print material to be compiled into an album due out next month. This compilation is due to highlight the early years of Kaskade's start with Om Records before his move to Ultra Records. Click through for more of what we can expect from this release.

News | Above & Beyond headline Godskitchen’s birthday bash

Above & Beyond are performing a four-hour set at Air in Birmingham tonight to celebrate the birthday of the global clubbing brand. They'll be joined in the main room by resident Mark Eteson, Richard Durand and Jon O'Bir, with D.Ramirez and Micky Slim playing the back room.

After a two year hiatus London Elektricity, aka Tony Colman, has returned with an album full of soulful energetic tracks which will no doubt stick a gigantic, electrified cattle prod into the arse of drum & bass. Consisting of live, orchestral, funk driven dnb, the album is a compilation of massive anthems. One track however specifically stands out, the aptly titled, 'All Hell Is Breaking Loose'.

Videos | Interview: Traumschallplatten’s Michel Cleis

Traumschallplatten has a number a different labels to cater for the different sounds within electronic dance music, with one of those labels being My Best Friend (MBF) on which Michel Cleis' 'Dixie on Monday' was recently released. Michel's new to MBF and we wanted to know a little bit more about the guy behind the sounds. Here's an interview (questions by Riley Reinhold) with Michel, plus a video for one of his tracks on the release, 'Deconstructed'.

News | The London Blog and the credit crunch

Depending which news channel you watch or news paper you read, we are either in the midst of the 'Credit Crunch' or the 'Credit Quake', both of which sound like new cereals to me. The papers, too, are filled with sad-faced city folk, streaming out of offices clutching golf clubs, potted plants, a whole host of random company merchandise, including, well pretty much anything they can get their grubby li'l mitts on, in all honesty!
